The Public Policy and Societal Impact Hub offers a series of masterclasses for ANU staff and students which provide practical advice on how to engage with policy makers and an opportunity for academics to build connections with key senior academics and policy leaders. Masterclass panels are made up of experienced policy makers and senior academics, who share their first-hand experience and provide recommendations on how to use academic research to inform and contribute to public policy
Bespoke Policy Masterclasses are now available - tailor made for your research area. The ANU Public Policy and Societal Impact Hub (the Hub) is launching this bespoke format for ANU units in 2021.
Policy Masterclasses are designed to provide practical advice for ECR and Mid-Career Researchers about how you can engage with policymakers, and they provide an opportunity for you to build connections with key senior academics and practitioners within your relevant field of expertise.
A masterclass also provides researchers with the opportunity to ask questions to experts on how best to engage with policymakers and develop strategies for furthering your research in the policymaking world.
Bespoke Policy Masterclasses complement our existing series of standard Policy Masterclasses available to all ANU academics.
This additional series will further enhance this valuable service to our academic community, with policy issues and topics tailored specifically for a College or Division’s area of research and expertise.
The format of the Bespoke Policy Masterclass is dependent on the requirements of the College / Division; however, the standard 1.5 - 2hr format usually takes the form of a panel discussion, Q&A, and breakout engagement session with a panel member.
If you think this is something your College or Division might be interested in, please contact Pip Chan firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss how the Hub can facilitate a tailor-made policy masterclass, specific to your area’s interests and needs.
When details of our next masterclasses become available they will be listed here.
